Photochromic Materials

  • UGAM has developed a superior photochromic technology to create multi-segments of the transmittance changes by UV (Ultraviolet) irradiation.
  • The best performance of UGAM’s photochromic technology can create the visible transmittance from 90% drop down to lower than 15% in few seconds. In accordance with EYEWEAR’s defined filter lens specifications, UGAM’s photochromic technology can achieve the results of from Cat.0 to Cat.3.
  • UGAM’s photochromic technology is more widely used in many different materials, even composite materials.

Toward to meet the different needs of the market, UGAM has developed several different types of photochromic :

Photochromic Films

PHS or PHX Series:

The resin that changes color quickly after being irradiated by UV light is mixed into the TAC raw material and the photochromic TAC film material is produced

by using film casting technology.

PHC Series:

The resin that UV light irradiation causes color change from clear to blue-smoke is integrated into the pressure-sensitive colloid with an acrylic base, and then

a photochromic double-sided adhesive film is produced through precision coating technology.

UGAM combine the PHC series with our own variety of special functional surface treatments to form adhesive film materials with special functions.
